Themes of an Identity Change Process Emerging

Today while meditating I came upon some ideas that pull together several themes in the form of a series of areas around which I want to develop rituals and processes that facilitate identity transformation.

Intouchness:

Start with strengthening intouchness as a foundation for other more specific explorations of self as nature. Identify persistent themes that emerge in the process of strengthening the ability to stay in touch with the ever changing totality of our experience and let that begin to define my path of action.

  • Health; focus on a particular health concern for me individually, my family, and my local more than human environment
  • Write it down
  • Talk to others about it
  • Begin new actions
  • Tie it all together with intouchness

Past, Present, Future Co-arising:

Examine the sense of time and change from the perspective of strengthened intouchness. This is where the linear sense of time should be disassembled. In natural systems how does time operate? The experience of past, present, and future are co-arising and we as choosing folks change all three at once in our transformation of identity and adoption of new actions.

Food Interrelatedness:

Explore how all things are related to each other through the interchange of food. This is a good time to focus on growing food, eating life supporting food, helping other humans and creatures with access to healthy food, working to grow healthy soil and water supply.

Living and Non-living Boundary:

The boundary between the living and the non living aspects of nature should be explored because this distinction tends to obstruct the ability to sense the intouchness of all things and the inclusiveness of nature. This arbitrary line should be explored to see how tightly the apparently living are in touch with the apparently non-living aspects of nature.

The Great Family:

The idea here is to explore our great family of relations at the family and species level and at the cross species level. This is a great family and a week could be dedicated to meditative and experiential exploration of this aspect of our intouchness.

Natures imagination:

In this exploration I will develop specific exercises that help seeing how it works in nature through our how our imagination works and then stretching that sense of imagination out into how other aspects of nature must imagine.

Natures Feeling:

In this exploration I will develop specific exercises that help seeing how it works in nature through our how our feeling works and then stretching that sense of feeling out into how other aspects of nature must feel.

Natures Thinking:

In this exploration I will develop specific exercises that help seeing how it works in nature through our how our thinking works and then stretching that sense of thinking out into how other aspects of nature must think.

The Void:

Exploring the void, the dark, out of which our organization emerges and evolves. Developing trust of the wisdom of the void, natures presence that is not known in specific but can be  felt intuitively and relied upon as a dynamic, though formless, presence. This is where form and formlessness interface with each other. Back to intouchness and start over from a new vantage point and repeat the cycle. Allow for the spontaneous emergence of new insights and actions in the existing theme set and allow for emergence of new themes.
